Maintenance Associate

Location: Calgary, Alberta, Canada

We are looking for a customer-oriented individual who takes initiative and adapts well to change to join our Calgary team as a Maintenance Associate. If you've worked in Maintenance Service for two years or more, have good problem-solving and decision-making skills, and excel at time management, please apply today!

Job responsibilities include, but are not limited to: 

  • Ability to maneuver up to 90kg with the proper equipment.
  • Ability to spend up to eight hours walking, standing, climbing stairs, lifting.
  • Ability to learn quickly, adapt to change and be flexible in nature.
  • Ability to take responsibility for all actions and decisions and to follow through until a resolution is obtained.
  • Dedicated to building better communities for all our Customers and surrounding communities.
  • Complete other tasks as assigned by the Area Coordinator.
  • Complete all required paperwork for the position.
  • Perform on call emergency maintenance according to schedule provided by Area Coordinator.
  • Ensure proper and accurate inventory management.
  • Touch-up painting as required.
  • Snow removal as required.
  • Ensure contractors arrive as per scheduled timelines and complete their work as per the conditions of contract.
  • Preventative Maintenance inspections and reporting.
  • Ensure proper cleaning and maintenance of equipment.
  • Coordinate inspections of turnover suites with Customer Service Representatives.
  • General common area and building maintenance.
  • Vacant suite maintenance and touch ups as per established quality standards.
  • Address Customer Requests for Maintenance (CRFM’s) within 72 hours.
  • Ensure daily communication with all site Associates.
  • Ensure the health, comfort and safety of our Customers.
  • 2 years Maintenance Service Experience preferred.

The successful candidate will possess the following qualifications and behaviours: 

  • Experience using hand and power tools is a requirement
  • At least two years of experience doing maintenance and repair
  • At least two years of experience in customer service and building maintenance
  • English language skills
  • Outstanding time management skills are a must for this role
  • Adapt quickly to change
