WeEmploy™ Community Engagement Coordinator – Internship

Location: Calgary, Alberta, Canada

WeEmploy is seeking students who will embrace and commit to the organization’s vision, mission and vales. Reporting directly to the CEO, this position with help achieve awareness, sign up objectives and mission goals.

We're looking for great people to contribute their skills in communication, networking and sales to the WeEmploy™ team. This position is an exciting opportunity for students to be involved in a dynamic team and be apart of an innovative organization who is changing the way companies and charities hire great employees and volunteers. You will be responsible for working independently and success will be defined by your ability to generate results. The role will start with leveraging your current network of community resources, non/not for profits and charities. You will be responsible for generating leads for our Sales Team, and in some cases, responsible for direct client conversion.

Job responsibilities will include, but are not limited to: 

  • Building relationships in the community and getting charities to register with WeEmploy™  for FREE
  • Creating direct conversion for WeEmploy™ supporters
  • Creating and generating leads for the WeEmploy™ Solution Specialist Team
  • Focusing on helping those in need to create solutions with WeEmploy™ 
  • Other duties as assigned

The successful candidates will possess the following qualifications and behaviours: 

  • At least one year's experience in business networking and communications
  • Excellent communication skills (written and oral)
  • Extremely strong relationship-building and relationship-leveraging skills
  • Experience in economic/community development, staffing/recruitment and/or sales will be considered an asset
  • Solid understanding and experience with all social media platforms
  • Ability to work independently 
  • Energetic personality determined to make a difference
  • Innovative thinkers dedicated to inspiring others
  • Goal oriented
  • Related certifications, professional development and post-secondary education will be considered an asset
