Kitchen Manager (5+ years’ experience)

Location: Crowsnest Pass, AB, Canada

Position: Full-time

Start date: November

Our client is searching for a fun, outgoing superstar kitchen manager with 5-8 years hands-on management experience, to take over kitchen operations. He/she must be passionate, and able to work in a very demanding and fast paced environment.

Duties will include but are not limited to:

  • Ordering food and hygiene based supplies based on rapidly shifting demands
  • Hiring and training kitchen staff in specific stations, and cross-train as necessary
  • Maintaining inventory levels and conduct full weekly inventory
  • Creating schedules for kitchen staff to ensure there are always enough workers to meet the demand, particularly for the lunch rush
  • Scheduling and overseeing necessary maintenance and repairs on kitchen appliances
  • Responding personally to guest questions and complaints
  • Maintaining inventory levels and conduct full weekly inventory.

Requirements:

  • 5+ years of culinary experience
  • 2+ years of restaurant management experience
  • Ability to work well under pressure
  • Excellent written and oral communication skills
  • Capable of conducting and assessing restaurant inventory
  • Must be fun, flexible, great team lead and player
  • Experience scheduling, delegating tasks, and maintaining fast speed of service.
