Learning & Development Coordinator

Location: Calgary , Alberta, Canada
Our client is looking for experienced Learning and Development Coordinator join their team and perform administrative functions that support both people and systems.
Key areas of responsibility include: 
Governance & Strategy
  • Adhere to the Learning & Development and Enterprise Information Management (EIM) standards and guidelines when designing, developing, delivering and evaluating design activities
  • Manage and maintain in-house training facilities and equipment
  • Administer and maintain learning resources, SharePoint sites and tools; i.e. content development tools, online learning portal, myPD, etc.
  • Manage the creation and modification of all courses in the LMS; including, creation of surveys, uploading SCORM content and learning history
  • Manage training records, including tracking and updating enrollment, user profiles, certifications and test scores
  • Troubleshooting LMS failures and discrepancies; online course testing
  • Partner with all levels of team mates to create and track training workshops, curricula, sessions and various learning activities through the LMS
  • Provide support to course designers in the areas of multimedia storage, course cloning, copying, backing, retrieving and setup processes within the LMS
  • Manage registration, record keeping, and reporting of learning
  • Implement course management, including but not limited to; update the online course catalog, update course properties, create courses/curriculum, enrolling users using templates or batch processes, managing course utilities, i.e., import, export, archive, restore, etc., and course configuration options
  • Guide the approval process of LMS enhancements and upgrades
  • Collaborate with the LMS System Administrator on custom reporting and enhancement requests, where needed
  • Provide technical support, training and customer service to all LMS users as needed
  • Monitor and manage the Learning & Development email and phone accounts
  • Coordinate the development of training schedules and attendance across regions and business units
  • Coordinate approved events with in-house experts and external vendors
  • Ensure all necessary materials, tools and meals required for training delivery are prepared in advance of training execution
  • Make necessary travel/lodging arrangements for out of town participants, speakers, or conferences
Planning and Analysis
  • Maintain training documentation and course folders during the project/initiative lifecycle by following the L&D content management and Enterprise Information Management standards and guidelines
  • Work collaboratively with the Learning & Development team to develop new processes, quality standards and increase efficiency of the team
  • Contract or statement of work support with vendors, and arrangements for invoice processing or payment within PW, Procurement, or other means
  • Support key Learning & Development initiatives & strategies
  • Identify areas of improvement to increase impact, visibility, and efficiency
  • Assist in instructor-led training (ILT) sessions; including virtual (VILT) sessions with greeting participants, acting as producer in VILT sessions, tracking attending and conducting surveys
Evaluation and Assessment
  • Develop and maintain reporting
  • Create monthly reporting and disseminate to the appropriate audience; Sr. Management, L&D department, business owners
  • 1 year or more of experience with Learning Management Systems or 3+ years of experience in an administrative role 
  • Proficiency with the MS office suite
  • Experienced in SharePoint
  • Technical knowledge including experience with an LMS, SCORM, content authoring and audio and web-conferencing solutions is an asset
  • Understanding of learning and development, adult learning principles, needs assessment, and program evaluation is an asset
